Abstract1: This paper outlines the concept of Whole Life Value (WLV) and describes the WLV Framework – a web-based tool that provides an integrated framework for the variety of design tools that deal with the issue of sustainability in the built environment. The framework enables designers and their clients to take account of the most significant aspects of sustainability and to predict the whole life value of their projects.
