Abstract1: This Paper results from a study the business benefits of sustainable construction practices in construction and property. It is the fourth of a set of four. Sustainable development and sustainable construction are terms that reflect a common-sense approach to property procurement. Construction plays a significant part in this. They reflect the balance between consideration of environmental and social benefits, and costs and business opportunities, the 'triple bottom line'. This synergy can result in improved performance of both the building and the processes involved in constructing it, in all aspects of the triple bottom line for the construction industry and its clients.
