Abstract1: This Paper introduces the benefits of water reducing admixtures for concrete production and the construction process. Admixtures are widely used in concrete throughout continental Europe to achieve higher workability leading to easier placing and compaction. The benefits include improved durability, quality and consistency of concrete, cost savings both in terms of economical mix design, and speeding the construction process.
