Summary:
This British Standard is the official English language version of European Standard EN 10204:2004, which supersedes EN 10204:1991. This Standard sets forth the different types of inspection documents supplied to a purchaser of metallic products in accordance with requirements of the order, and discusses the differences between specific inspection and non-specific inspection in connection with product specifications that specify the technical delivery conditions of the products. Test results may or may not be included. The contents of inspection documents, document validation and document transmission are addressed. This European Standard was prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission to provide a means to conform to Directive 97/23/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 29 May 1997. Annex ZA should be consulted for information about the relationship of the document to Directive 97/23/EC.
