Summary:
British Standard EN 1092-1:2001 covers steel, cast iron, copper alloy and aluminium alloy DIN flanges and their joints, circular flanges for pipes, valves, fittings and accessories. It also provides specific requirements for circular flanges in PN designations PN 2,5 to PN 100 and sizes from DN 10 to DN 4 000 as well as the flange types and their facings, dimensions, tolerances, threading, bolt sizes, flange jointing face surface finish, marking, materials, pressure/ temperature ratings and approximate masses. It does not apply to those made from bar stock by turning, or to flanges made from plate material of types 11, 12 and 13.
