Summary:
BS EN 10216-2:2002, Incorporating Amendment No. 1, specifies the technical delivery conditions for non-alloy and alloy steel tubes with specified elevated temperature properties for seamless steel tubes used for pressure purposes. Reference is made to EN 10217, from another European Standard series covering tubes for pressure purposes. The designation of steel grades is discussed. Heat treatment conditions for Steel grades (by steel name and steel number) are given in Table 1. Chemical composition (cast analysis) for steel grades is given in Table 2. Creep rupture strength values for steel grades are given in Table 17. Outside diameter, inside diameter, wall thickness, test category (1 and 2) are also covered.
